Khoya Matar Sabzi | Mawa Matar Sabzi | Peas Curry

This rich and delicious Indian Curry has the perfect blend of flavours and aroma. Enjoy the Khoya Matar Sabzi with freshly made matar paranthas.


Serves 4

Ingredients

  • 1 + 1/4 cups peas, boiled

  • 3/4 cup khoya

  • 2 tbsp oil

  • 1 tsp cumin seeds or jeera

  • 2-3 cloves

  • 2 tsp salt or to taste

  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder

  • 1 tsp red chilli powder

  • 1 tsp coriander powder

  • 1/2 tsp garam masala

  • 2 tomatoes, pureed

  • 2 onions, pureed

  • 2-3 green chillies chopped

  • 1 cup water

Instructions

  1. In a kadhai or pan, add oil and cumin seeds and cloves.

  2. When they begin to crackle, add onions and green chillies.

  3. Once the onions turn translucent, add tomato puree and cook for 5 minutes on medium flame.

  4. Add in all the spices and peas and cook for another 5 minutes.

  5. Add khoya, 1 cup water and cover and cook on low flame for 8-10 minutes.

  6. Transfer to a bowl and enjoy the Khoya Matar Curry with hot paranthas.
